The IPA soldiers stood over the unconscious bodies of the two deathworlders, or at least the uninjured soldiers stood.
The sickening smell of adrenaline hung in the air, no doubt the human had been on adrenaline, or maybe their body produced it, hard to tell with this bizarre race.
It was surprisingly hard to take down a human on a space craft. You couldn't use bullets, not with the risk of puncturing the hull. They had tried caffeine darts, hopping to overwhelm its biology.
One soldier nudged the unconscious human with its pseudo pod. This one took 6 darts, 5 of which were still embedded in its skin. The caffeine hadn't killed it, but it had put the human into a craze, the four newly amorphous soldiers could testify to that. They would probably live.
The solution had turned out to be an electron-charge weapon, normally used for taking out electronics. They had cranked up the power to far above lethal levels, and lobbed a couple shots into both of the intruders.
That had done the trick. The human had jumped nearly its own height before dropping.
Now to keep these prisoners imprisoned. The soldiers let out a sigh. This wasn't going to be a fun trip.
